The patch list page (http://chrisjs.com/?page_id=22) is now auto-updating. I should probably test it some more, but I think most of the bugs are cleared. If anyone has any problems with it, let me know.
I decided to enable the two lines in the configuration file to enable the USB menu on the Sansa. Keep in mind though, USB support still does not work.
I've updated all patches as of about an hour ago, which should fix the scrolling margins problem in some themes.
Those who are looking at the auto-updating patch list may notice duplicates of just about everything - I'm working on getting the SQL code perfect so that it displays properly.
I'm thinking of adding http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/7873 - any comments?
For those who went back to an older bootloader due to OF booting problems, you may notice the screen glitch is back. The genuine fix is in my build, however, it can only be initialized by the bootloader (if I understood MikeS correctly). Another user on the Rockbox forums has compiled a bootloader that should work, though it disables SDHC checking in the bootloader. I'm not sure if it also does in Rockbox, but from the looks of it, it probably will. In other words, until the SDHC support is fixed (I'm wondering if it's similar to the MicroSD problem we had before, which was preventing it from being commited) those who have the screen glitch problem will need to choose between SDHC support or a fixed screen.
Link to bootloader (credit to xoring): ftp://wisard.no-ip.com/pp5022.mi4
Backup link: http://chrisjs.com/downloads/NoSDHC.mi4
Those with sansapatcher (any version): Connect your sansa to your computer (in OF) and run 'sansapatcher -a pp5022.mi4' ('sansapatcher -a NoSDHC.mi4' if using backup link)
Those with e200Rs (don't know if this bootloader will work, but it should):
From the OF, place the pp5022.mi4 (or if using backup link, rename it to pp5022.mi4) in the root of your Sansa, or connect your Sansa in recovery mode, and place the pp5022.mi4 file in the root of the 16MB-FORMAT drive.
Well, my friend hasn't renewed my domain yet, so I'm probably going to need to myself. The domain expires in less than two weeks, so it's definitely something I'll need to do soon.
I'm working on getting the auto-updating patch list working right now. You can see it at http://chrisjs.com/patches.php, though it isn't quite finished yet. That's the most up to date list, with all the patches in the build. I'll be doing more testing throughout the night.
UPDATE: Sorry for the 404's - Wordpress thought the comma after .php was part of the link =/ Fixed.
I've got a load of patches (10) to update, which will also fix the problem with the scrolling margins patch involving text going outside the limit. I plan to add those patches shortly.
4 minutes ago I recovered from about 19 minutes of downtime, due to NFS issues. Everything should be working fine now, and I should be able to go back to adding patches.
UPDATE: Apparently it's still somewhat ongoing - the server had to be rebooted twice so far.
So far, all the patches except the following are in the build:
To be done:
FS#7417* - Quick Menu - custom_menu.patch
FS#7252 - SubRip (srt) Subtitle Support in mpegplayer - rockbox.mpeg...srt.patch
FS#7076 - Calendar - sansa_calendar.diff
FS#6988* - Video menu (w/ Photo and Record menu)- vidphotorec_menu.patch
FS#6733** - Shutdown menu - 20070729-shutdown.patch
[Rockbox Forums] - Recording Enhancements Pack - recordingenhan...pack.patch
Done:
FS#2720* - Bookmark on idle poweroff and sleep poweroff - bookmark...v2.diff
FS#6796 - Put ymargin into scrollinfo - ymargin_scrollinfo_20070628.patch
FS#7289 - Allow up to 512 WPS images - wps_display_512_bitmaps_svn13664.patch
[custom] - Version - version.patch
[custom] - Boot logo fix - Moves boot logo up 10 pixels so entire logo shows, and removes version information from boot screen (still appears via Rockbox Information)
Ignore the asterisks - it's just a copy and paste from the patch list. The multifont patch (FS#4733) needs to be updated, which I'll do tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'll do the Recording Enhancements Pack - IIRC, that took a while, and it hasn't been in the build, and I haven't heard anyone complain...
I've got to get off soon, but I'll probably do FS#6796 tonight, and hold the others off until tomorrow.
UPDATE: 6796 is done and in the build. Once I have all the patches in, I'm going to go back a week or two and see if there's any other patches I've missed. Once I'm finally up to date, I'll switch the patch list with a dynamic version, so it will always be up to date.
UPDATE: I have five patches left to do, so that shouldn't be too hard to do tomorrow.
The mpegplayer patch is fully working now - Brian Morey managed to get the patch working before I did, but it's in the build. I tested it, and it seems to be working fine, both in the sim and on the Sansa. The sim shows no debug errors, so it's probably able to be commited soon.
