Auto Updating Patch List Live!

The patch list page (http://chrisjs.com/?page_id=22) is now auto-updating. I should probably test it some more, but I think most of the bugs are cleared. If anyone has any problems with it, let me know.

Chris, do you know of any place where all the syntax for the WPS is listed for the patches you use?

In other words it would be great if there was a place where someone could go and see how to use the new features of the WPS (like colors or multi font, etc.) As it is now people have to look at a current WPS and learn by looking at what they have used.

There isn't any supported place, so I thought I would ask if you knew. This would be very helpful to me and others looking to make themes.

The goal would be to make more themes to share.

Hello,
I'm from the rockbox-lounge.com and I'm using you're build since yesterday.

Jack, your latest build has messed up the main menu.
I get a Dictionary entry in between Playlists and Plugins.

When i select it, it takes me to the file browser.

HRM, the information for the codes used in the WPS files are found in the Rockbox manual (for standard WPS code) or you can find information in Flyspray by looking up the patches. Jack provides the links to those patches on his Patch List page. I don't think it is his job to compile all of that information for people, as it is not hard to find.

I appreciate the input kockroach but would like to point out that what is easy to some is difficult to others.
For example in this patch 4733 - Multifont - 4733 http://rockbox.org/tracker/task/4733?getfile=14843 where is the new syntax listed? I could just copy and centralize it if I can just find it. I have no experience coding and can only use software, not create it. Of course I can spend hours learning all there is to learn about making rockbox and applying patches, but I would just like to make themes and have spent hours already searching and reading to find a list of commands.
I do not mind at all being the one to gather and post this info, but I still have to learn where to find it.
Again, I want to thank you for the post, but I just want you to understand I have zero skills for coding at this point and would prefer not to embark on a path of total understanding. If it were truely simple to me, I would not post.

Jeton - Yes, that's caused by the dict2 patch. I'm planning to remove it, since I don't see a point in having it.

Maddin94 - Thanks for using it ;). If you have any questions/comments, feel free to ask.

HRM - The default WPS tags can be found in the Rockbox wiki, and the tags added by the patches can be found on the patch's Flyspray task page.

I will look for the task pages. Thank you

HRM - sorry about that - didn't see your comment that was 3 mins before mine. I'm going to look through the patches and compile a list now.

HRM, I said nothing about applying patches. I said that you can find information on the codes used in the WPS file if you look up the patches in Flyspray. You can simply click on the first link of each patch in Jack's patch list, and that will take you to the appropriate Flyspray page.

I feel that Jack does more than enough having to correct bugs in the patches to get them to work in his build....such that he shouldn't have to compile all of the information about the patches for everyone too. The only coding skills you need to worry about are for the WPS file....not for the entire Rockbox firmware.
