When there's a change in SVN, you can choose to have it emailed to you. I set up an email address that goes through postfix, so I can have it filter for the sender email address, and then run the update command. So instead of calling it "diff.patch", it would be named "diff_rXXXXX.patch". That would make it easier to know which revision could be used to apply the patch and build it myself. Thanks!
