Final Hint

Here's a final hint before I start telling a few people the link. I need testers ;)

As I've said, it's in the source. However, it's not in the page source. It's the 10th line from the top of the source. Click a certain link available on any page to reveal the source. The source does not contain any HTML. Viewing the page source is not required to find the link to the source, nor is right clicking required.

If I'm thinking clearly, that should cause you to be left with only one source. However, I'm not going to tell what kind of source it is, though it's updated often.

WOOHOO got it ;)

Are you going to include the ability to show/hide menu items? I don't see that there. I think I'd probably like a personalized build with a bare minimum of patches. That would be very high on the patch list for me.

That's what the textbox labeled "Other" is for ;)

I'll probably add the patch to show/hide menu items later.

(Even if the item isn't on the list, you can still try asking for it)

Also, to make it clear, the builds are not compiled yet, it's currently just for testing the form. There isn't even a way for me to contact you ;)

Got it, although the patch # and descriptions weren't working correctly. I'd click on the link for one, say "FS#7589 - Dircache Support" and that patch # was "Newsread-like interface for podcasts". Other then that, it looks neat!

Congrats to all of you! For the most part, the patch numbers should be correct, though the Dircache support one seemed to be a typo: 7589 when it should be 7598. Fixed

Hey! I've just recently switched to your awesome build, but I've noticed some issues with the latest version... :( First of all, none of the buttons in RockDoom work except for the power button which brings up the menu. Also, about 95% of the special "Works with ChrisJS Build" WPS themes i've tried fail to load (Including DockPodAA, DockPod Aqua, Baracuda, KratoJet). I also kindof liked being able to hit power in order to browse backwards through the menus, your build only responds to the left button. I really don't want to switch back to the vanilla build though as I like the fading LCD and programable record button. Could you please look into these bugs?

P.S Also, my sister is able to charge her sansa through the USB cable on yesterday's rockbox release, yet the ChrisJS build just reboots.

street lover - You should not repartition the Sansa to only one partition. You will most likely need to place all four files on the recovery mode drive:

http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/e200/BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom
http://chrisjs.com/PP5022.mi4
A blank file named sansa.fmt
http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/e200tool/i2c-e260.bin

Sorry I couldn't be any more help - I've been really sick the past few days and can't really stay on the computer long.

--

neilt6 - Not sure about Rockdoom, and I probably won't be able to check it until tomorrow if not later. The viewport patch is in the build, which breaks most themes until they are ported. It's been a few months since the keymap change - the power button now only stops playback and turns off the Sansa.

Most builds (including vanilla) reboot to the OF when the USB cable is attached, but the feature is buggy. Hold select to have it stay in Rockbox.

Again, sorry I can't help much right now, but I'm not in any condition to look into those bugs until I feel better.

Depending on what you mean by your computer died from lightning, it's possible (I think) that it killed your sansa.

Try forcing Manu mode (hold on, press select, turn on) and enter 'lsusb' in Ubuntu and paste the results.
