The v2 contains completely new hardware in it, and, IIRC, we're having trouble finding out information about the hardware. Because of the new hardware (and lack of support for it) it can't run Rockbox (It doesn't even use MI4 files). All that (AFAIK) is needed to make it run is add support for the new hardware.

Sorry for lack of information, I haven't followed the port much.

I have a question. What is the difference between the Sansa e200 and the e200v2? By that I mean, why can't the v2 run Rockbox? And what would be needed to change to make it run Rockbox?

If I did that, the rock files would be available, and simply would be saved into /.rockbox/rocks...I think.

Hey Guys - sorry about all the delays - apparently I'm still without internet at my house, and it's scheduled to be out until this weekend =/.

As Zim said, please don't go around flaming other users. While the idea of a blank jpg image is good, rockpaint still uses the user-set brightness. However, while I'm sure most of the world has moved away from dialup, I would still like to keep the build size relatively small. I'm thinking of taking all of the custom plugins and having them available on the site, but not directly included in the build. We'll see.

And i don't see what's so funny about it. I'm just making a request.

The request for the plugin is for the sole reason that it can be configured to load a white screen and set the brightness to 100%, as in my Sansa i always have the brightness to 70%.

And what's all the fuzz about wasting kB? If ya can't read, the site says C U S T O M build. Meaning it's to be customized. And I can't think of any other way of customizing the build exept by requests and input from users.

So stop being a smartass.

To answer to Jeton... at the place of tearing your eyes on a computer screen to create a flashlight

open your little program called paint. make a blank image larger than your sansa screen.

Then, go in file, save as. choose .jpeg name it flashlight and save it to your main directory directly into X:\ and then, in rockbox select files and open flashlight

WOW!!!! A big shining white screen

Lol seriously... sorry to make fun on you but... Don't waste time and take Kb on your mp3 player that read photos just to have a white screen...
